Small Animals

Cats and Kittens for adoption

All our cats have had their first vaccine (and second depending on how long we have had them), been flea treated, wormed, neutered and microchipped. If you choose to rehome a cat from us we would welcome an adoption donation (suggested £60) which goes a small way towards covering the food and medication provided whilst in our care. At the moment we can only receive your adoption donation by cash or cheque made payable to RSPCA.

Dogs and Puppies

We do not currently have facilities to rehome dogs.  Please check with your local RSPCA Animal Centre;

A home visit is always undertaken by our volunteer home checkers to ensure a good match is made between the animal and its potential adopter. We do not destroy healthy cats or dogs; all animals under our care are found new homes or work with behaviourists if they have any behavioural problems. On rare occasions under veterinary advice we may put an animal to sleep for severe health reasons; anything that is treatable and that doesn’t cause a substantial loss of quality of life we happily treat.

We hope you support us by taking care to find the right animal for you and think very carefully before beginning the adoption process. Dogs and cats live well into their teens; sometimes beyond. Please bear in mind that some animals may have experienced trauma or mistreatment in their lives and need homes that can provide special care and patience.
